Alis came to the U.S. with her young children, a suitcase full of hope, and firsthand knowledge of how hard it is to start over. OKCaribe combines where she’s from — the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica — and where she rebuilt her life: Oklahoma. It’s more than a name; it’s a reflection of identity, strength, and purpose. Today, Alis helps others navigate challenges she’s lived herself — with empathy, skill, and deep dedication.
